Kenya’s capital city has risen in a single century from a brackish uninhabited swampland to a thriving modern capital.

Modern Nairobi is still the safari capital of the Africa, but the modern world has quickly caught up with the city. A frontier town no more, Nairobi is one of Africa’s largest, and most interesting cities.

Nairobi is a city that never seems to sleep. The entire town has a boundless energy, and is thriving place where all of human life can be found. This is a place of great contrasts where race, tribe and origin all become facets of a unique Nairobi character. The city has not lost its sense of the past, with an excellent museum and the historical home of Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa open to visitors. This is not a modern capital separated from the great wilderness that surrounds it. Just outside the city is Nairobi National Park, 113 sq. kms of plains, cliffs and forest. The park is home to large herds of zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo, Giraffe and more. Rhino, Cheetah, and a large number of Lions are all found here, living wild within 20 minutes of the centre of town.

Ibis Styles Nairobi Westlands is in a business location in Nairobi. This recently built 280-room hotel is near the city's central business district and local business parks. Free buffet breakfast, free WiFi in public areas, and free self-parking are also provided. Additionally, a fitness center, a coffee shop/café, and a snack bar/deli are onsite. All 280 individually decorated rooms feature free WiFi and pillow top beds. For a bit of entertainment, guests will find flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, and other amenities include room service and premium bedding. Bathrooms include showers, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. This Nairobi hotel provides complimentary wireless Internet access. Housekeeping is provided daily.

Day 2
NAIROBI TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will proceed to Amboseli National Park arriving at your Lodge in time for lunch.

Afternoon you will proceed for your first afternoon game drive in this magnificent park.

Evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight aAmboseli Serena Safari Lodge

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside the rainy season.

The Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge is situated in the beautiful Amboseli National Park with Africa's highest mountain, the superlative Mount Kilimanjaro towering in the background. The lodge has sweeping views over the golden savannahs and lush green marshes that attract Buffalo and Elephant. The lodge reflects the lifestyle of the local Maasai people through its design and decor. At the heart of the lodge is an oasis, the swimming pool shaded by palm trees. The rooms stretch out on either side enjoying uninterrupted views over the plains. The central areas of the lodge are a great place to relax and savour a delicious meal around the campfire. Set out on game drives to discover the magnificent Elephants of Amboseli, stopping off to admire the beauty of the sunset from Observation Hill. In the evening be entertained with performances by traditional Maasai dancers or learn more about the traditions of these proud people while visiting a Maasai Village. This lodge is the perfect spot to take a moment to relax on your Kenya African Safari. Enjoy a pampering wellness treatment or a tasty breakfast out in the bush. Explore the area on a gentle guided nature walk. For families, the lodge has a very good children's program where they will have lots of fun learning how to track animals and about the traditional Maasai way of life.

Day 3
AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Another day spend in Amboseli National Park. Meals and overnight. On this day you will visit a Maasai village for cultural experience. Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

Amboseli is often called the ‘Land of Giants’ – due to the impressive elephants here carrying massive tusks. The animals are set against breathtaking vistas of Mt Kilimanjaro, which makes an awesome backdrop to the small park. Aside from elephants, many plains animals are easy to spot. Fantastic photo opportunities are possible, and early mornings are best for clear views of Kilimanjaro. Amboseli offers great wildlife viewing, and four of the Big Five are present. Rhinos are absent, but big herds of elephants reliably move to and from the marshy swamps in the center of the park. Buffalo, Wildbeestt, Burchell's Zebra, and Gazelle  are all very common. Lions are the easiest to spot of the big cats, but sightings are hit-and-miss.
