DESCRIPTION
One
of the best sights within this Park is the Rufiji
River, a gigantic river with a high density of crocodiles and hippos. Together
with the Great Ruaha River, it creates a river delta, making for formidable
game viewing and some of the most exciting boat safaris in East Africa.
This tour is suitable for people from Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar
ITINERARY
Day 1
FLY ZANZIBAR TO SELOUS (NYERERE NATIONAL PARK)
08:05 flight to Nyerere National Park, Meet your driver guide on arrival at
Mtemere Aistrip at 08:55 check in at the Selous Ngalawa Camp then
continue with game drives in the Park with packed lunch. Return for dinner and
overnight
Selous Ngalawa Camp is a basic self contained tented camp located near the Mtemere main gate and Mtemere Airstrip and is situated along the Rufiji River.
Day 2
BOAT SAFARI AND GAME DRIVE + FLIGHT BACK TO ZANZIBAR
Morning Boat safari,
then return for game drive in the park with lunch boxes. Afternoon drop off
at Mtemere Airstrip for 16:15 flight back to Zanzibar. Arrival at 17:30

N. Park. Embracing 54,000 square km of south-western Tanzania, it is one of
the largest protected wilderness park on the continent, three times larger than
the Serengeti and twice the size of Belgium. Named after the legendary 19th
century explorer and hunter Frederick Courtney Selous, the reserve was founded
by the German colonial administration in 1905. It was later expanded to include
traditional elephant migration routes and accommodate the vast herds of buffalo
that roam this remote, untouched corner of Africa.
